While it's true Android itself is developed with help from Java it is most likely not affected by the current exploit.

If readers look at the second link, in Mgreenlee's post, is that the vulnerability is limited to Oracle Java loaded on desktops (Windows, Linux, etc.), not Android. It's pretty easy to fix, as well, just update with the latest patch.

Regarding the desktop vulnerability, Mozilla has continued to block Java in Firefox, and Apple is still in OS X.

Thanks for the update. I didn't know Mozilla was blocking Java in Firefox.
