Here's an article from Ben Bajarin of the tech analysis firm Creative Strategies.
He says that while RIM, the maker of the BlackBerry faces a steep climb, it's not dead yet (mortally wounded?), and has a chance for a rebound. He says there's room in the market for another player, that many people have positive sentiment about their previous BlackBerry experience, and that BlackBerry can do well by focusing on the business niche.
The fourth factor he lists is more a factor in whether the company can pull a turnaround, rather than why it can pull a turnaround. It's software.
Would you develop for BlackBerry?
