Rails is a really advanced getting powerful but complex, do you think that is still a framework for beginners?

I would say it is. If not Ruby, then def python.

I have to say, I use rails every day and I love it, but actually all the features around like coffeescript, asset pipeline, engines etc, a beginner has to learn a lot of things to use rails following the good practices.
I consider Sinatra more for beginners than Rails today.
Is not about Ruby, Ruby is awesome, with Rails now we can build a robust and high performance web application, but is not as simple as before.

I have done only a little programming in school. I am looking for a new career. I have heard about Ruby. I don't know how to get started. Any suggestions?
