Smartronix, Inc., is an information technology and engineering solutions provider specializing in Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Health IT, Network Operations, and Mission-Focused Engineering.

Smartronix is seeking to hire a VmWare Engineer to analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

Responsibilities:

Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software.

Required Skills
Demonstrated experience with in-depth Vsphere, Windows and Linux experience, latest Windows Operating System, Linux, VMware, F5 load balancers. Extensive experience on HP server and storage hardware and configuration.

Required Experience
Minimum Experience Required:

Three (3) years' experience with VMware disciplines and protocols to include comprehensive knowledge of specific virtualization system administrator tasks.

One (1) year of relevant practical experience plus one of the following certifications: Network+ of Security+(certifications must be in active standing).

Experience with administering Windows Server operating systems, including 2003, 2008 R2, and 2012 R2

Experience with server virtualization, including VMware VSphere 5.x

Experience with provisioning and managing Linux (REHL) servers, designing and building VMware VSphere environments, upgrading and migrating VMware VSphere ESXi environments, installing and configuring vCenter Operations Manager, designing, building, and managing VMware Horizon View environments, designing, deploying, and managing Machine Creation Services, designing and managing Dell EqualLogic Storage Area Networks, including LUN creation, zoning, and multi-patching, designing, deploying, and managing Active Directory domain services, including DNS, DHCP, Remote Desktop Session Host, DFS, Microsoft Failover Clusters, and Microsoft NLB Clusters

Experience implementing and configuring F5 load balancers, DNS BIND, Infoblox (DHCP, IPAM, DNS)

Documented knowledge of diagnosing and resolving vSphere performance issues

Experience in Windows and Linux Operating Systems and Windows Active Directory experience in an enterprise environment

Experience in designing, implementing and configuring a Vsphere environment

Demonstrated experience with evaluating projected usage of CPU, Storage, memory and network bandwidth to ensure future procurement planning and service delivery

Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including STIGs.

IAT Level III baseline certification in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 "Cyberspace Workforce Management" (or achieve within six months of TOA or hiring)

Minimum Education Required:

BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: The equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Security Clearance: Secret clearance required at time of hire based upon a SSBI completed within the past five years.
