Global Operations Engineering site leader for the Santa Clara Networking design center. Reports to the Vice President of the Global Operations Engineering for the Infrastructure Solutions Group. Will manage a staff of 12 senior level manufacturing and test engineers that supports the Dell EMC Networking business. Interacts with the Networking executive leadership on the planning and execution of global manufacturing and fulfillment requirements are optimized for the customer needs.
-Defines process for review of product and advanced technology specifications and creation / communication of operational requirement
-Provides leadership for ensuring that product designs and operational processes are optimized
-Understands trends and advanced / current technology connections across organizations and product lines
-Engages organization when technology is ready to productize. Participate in industry standard boards
-Analyzes risk of multiple potential projects; Decides best fit for business w/ Sr Mgmt.; defines project scope and deliverables for success; designs comprehensive, complex project plan with long term scope; serves as team lead or mentor
-Recognizes and raises complex organization wide issues and conflicting priorities
-Prepare and present issue resolution to the VP level
-Comfortably deals with and clarifies ambiguous expectations
-Provides leadership across organizations and value chains to engage in creative problem solving: brainstorming, evaluating, deciding and executing to maximize resources and proactively overcome problems
-15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
-Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
-7+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill
-Experience in delivery of electro-mechanical technology products from design concept to high volume production.
-Experience in Data Center Networking products
-Deep working knowledge of latest manufacturing processes (PCBA, injection molding, sheet metal fab, etc.) and supply chain capabilities
-Demonstrated leadership experience in global people management role
-Demonstrated ability to work with senior executives on strategic planning and implementation
