ThePrecision Workstation team is looking for an Electrical Principal Engineer thatwill be responsible for the design and development activities associated withworkstation products. You will serves as a central resource for all aspects ofthe engineering solution and work with the engineering extended teams.Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle includingmodifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
-Designsand defines system requirements for workstation systems, and/or preparesstudies and analyzes existing systems.
-Determinessystem specifications, input/output processes and working parameters forhardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and/orthe integration of total systems or multiple functions.
-Ensuresthe manufacturability, reliability and serviceability of designs.
-Identifies,analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommendscorrective actions.
Documentsresults in technical reports, white papers and online web pages.
-Ensuresassignments are completed within schedule and cost objectives.
-Responsiblefor the end-to-end ownership of assigned system(s).
-Drivesroot cause analysis and coordinates efforts to solve issues including complexissues.
-Interfacew/suppliers, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, toolingengineering and other development groups to ensure the successful developmentand launch of new products.
-Play akey role in development of the preliminary BOM, cost targets, development plan.Support other areas in their initial work on project planning documents.
-Minimumof 8+ years of relevant experience and a BSEE/BSCS or 6+ years of relevantexperience and an MSEE/MSCS
-Advancedexperience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debuggingwith processor, memory, operating systems, and I/O subsystems
-Abilityto make risk calls, priority decisions, and lead as well as work through others
-Abilityto identify potential product weaknesses and be able to provide design guidanceand recommendations to improve product quality
-Strongorganization and communication skills in multi-discipline environment
-Advancedability with oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and JTAG debuggers
-Advanced abilitywith reading schematics, schematic entry and layout tools
