Smartronix Inc., a Premier Amazon Web Services Consulting Partner and Gold Microsoft partner is currently seeking a Solutions Architect with a passion for technology, the ability to understand and assess new technologies understanding their applicability to business. We are seeking a driven individual who has a desire to work with some of the best Cloud Architects in the market. Today Smartronix serves Fortune 1000 Financial, Healthcare, and government agencies and other regulated markets worldwide in delivery of Cloud Services. Our architects support the full life cycle from client needs analysis, through design, build migration and go live. They are continually assessing emerging products and services that improve the business of the clients we serve.
The Solutions Architect- a combination of a subject matter expert, trusted advisor to clients and Cloud services authority - will be responsible, working as part of our Cloud team, to help define project execution tools and methodologies, refine processes and methods, and work hands-on in the develop robust and secure environments utilizing Private and Public clouds (AWS, Azure, and others). The Solutions Architect will consult with clients to determine their requirements, use systems analysis techniques to translate requirements into actionable specifications, and define and describe proposed architectures through both design and written artifacts. In addition, the Solutions Architect is responsible for understanding our clients changing business needs, assisting in the development or definition of work efforts, and guiding enterprise adoption of our managed Cloud service offerings.
+ Solution Delivery expertise and hands-on experience with designing, building or operating environments leveraging AWS Cloud services
+ Demonstrable Enterprise Architecture planning and design skills
+ Experience with enterprise Cloud migrations, from either Physical or Virtual environments
+ Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions and applications into the cloud
+ Experience or exposure to the Healthcare and Life Sciences field
+ Experience with compliance models such as HIPAA, PHI, HL7, PCI, or Safe Harbor
+ A balance of knowledge across Operating Systems, Networking, Security and Operations
+ Baseline understanding of core networking concepts, terminology and especially common Cloud network connectivity requirements and topologies
+ Ability to gather customer requirements and translate those requirements into architecture design proposals and actionable tasks
+ Ability to understand and translate network, system and application security hardening requirements including but not limited to Group Policy definition and enforcement, penetration testing, proactive continuous monitoring, and building with operations in mind.
+ Experience implementing AWS security best practices including data encryption, user and access management techniques, key management strategies and application security.
+ Ability to support network and system risk assessment and to support network and system security planning and documentation.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Experience working as part of a collaborative team
+ Good analytic, organization, presentation, customer service and facilitation skills
+ Excellent problem solving skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
+ The candidate must have 5 or more years of experience using Windows or Linux based operating systems in a hands-on capacity
+ The candidate must have 4+ years' working experience in programming or scripting languages
+ Bachelor's Degree required or additional 5 years of relevant Information Technology experience accepted in lieu of degree
+ Preferred but not required:
o Experience participating in large-scale migration projects moving datacenter assets into the Cloud
o Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies or server migration toolsets
o Hands-on experience with programming, scripting or automation
o Demonstrable experience contributing to the development or refinement of reference architectures, customer use cases, whitepapers or technical guidelines
o Familiarity with common enterprise services and concepts (Directory Services, Information Assurance, Virtual Desktop, etc.), products (i.e., Oracle, SAP) and frameworks (ITIL, Zachman, TOGAF, etc.)
o Active Directory experience with Windows 2003, 2008, and 2012 environments
o Understanding of authentication and authorization services; e.g.; SAML, LDAP, AD, ADFS, & the backend associated APIs that connect various messaging, cloud and social platforms
o Experience deploying Electronic Medical Records systems
o Exposure to enterprise database deployments
